Town recognizes progress made on Cultural Plan
In 2014, the Town of Orangeville adopted its first municipal cultural plan – Orangeville’s Cultural Advantage. The plan recognized culture as an integral part of the social and economic fabric of the community and it identified priorities and actions to enhance the Town’s arts, culture and heritage sectors. Fifty-six action items were established under four strategic themes – Leading and Connecting, Identity and Innovation, Capacity and Place, and Creative Growth and Investment.
Orangeville’s Cultural Advantage Progress Summary 2014-2018 highlights the progress made on the plan’s recommendations over the past four years. The document demonstrates that 90% of the plan’s recommendations have been addressed and that efforts have been made throughout the organization.
