2019 Summer Company Participants

The Orangeville & Area Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC), in partnership with the Province of Ontario, is once again delivering the popular Summer Company program. Summer Company provides local youth with funding and guidance as they start up and run their own businesses during the summer months. This summer, six enterprising students will be operating businesses in Dufferin and area. The summer companies are from a wide range of sectors including arts, tourism, video marketing and home service.

Summer Company 2019 participants include:

Riveting Adventurez – Ameena Abdulaziz

Riveting Adventurez, owned by Ameena Abdulaziz, will take you and your friends on a fun-filled, mystery tour of downtown Orangeville. A combination of escape-room-like puzzles and mystery stories provide an exciting, outdoor experience. Play the main puzzle walking tour “Clockwork Orangeville” or the photo walking tour “Parasols and Monocles” for an action-packed afternoon. Headwaters Pest Control and Lawn Service – Cameron Sheedy

Headwaters Pest Control owner Cameron Sheedy is a licensed pesticide operator with a wealth of experience in commercial and residential pest treatments. He offers free consultations and will provide a competitive quote that will meet the property owner’s needs. The professional service targets insects and rodents including ants, spiders, wasps, mice, and other pesky intruders. Cameron also provides garden treatments to protect flower beds from potentially harmful insects. The Squash Pottery – Emma Bradley

The Squash Pottery is owned by Emma Bradley, a second-year university student and accomplished ceramicist. Emma will be selling a variety of uniquely beautiful, functional and decorative pottery at area farmers’ markets and other local venues. When at the farmers’ markets, Emma will sell fresh produce from her own garden as well as delicious home baking. JT Home Tours – Judel Tabsing

Judel Tabsing, owner of JT Home Tours, creates high quality videos for home owners and real estate agents to use when selling a property. Eraser Tip Art Classes – Harley Duck

English and art student Harley Duck is putting his talent and training to good use this summer. The owner of Eraser Tip Art Classes will offer both day and evening instruction for children and youth. Students can register for individual classes which will focus on a single art technique or weekly classes which will cover larger concepts. Eraser Tip also offers parent/child classes, an opportunity to learn portraiture techniques and have a great evening of fun together. Eraser Tip Art Classes will be hosting an Open House for the public on Friday, June 14th from 1 to 7 p.m. at 14 Stewart Court Unit 12. Sarene Clean – Sara Ashley Wodiany
